This Cookie Policy explains how PNG Boutique (“us”, “we” or “our”) and our third-party service providers use cookies and similar technologies to recognize, collect and track information about your use of https://pngboutique.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files containing a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. They are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer, tablet or mobile device. Websites use cookies to remember you between pages and visits, keep things like a shopping cart working, and understand how the site is being used.

Cookies we set ourselves are known as first-party cookies. Cookies set by other companies whose tools appear on the Site, such as our email provider or a payment processor, are known as third-party cookies. Some third parties collect statistics in an anonymized, aggregated form and may not require your consent.

The information cookies collect may include details about your device, browsing actions and patterns, such as the type of device and browser you use, your internet service provider, your approximate location, your IP address, the date and time of your visit, the pages viewed and your path through the Site.

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies on your first visit and periodically after that. Strictly necessary cookies are set regardless, because the Site cannot work without them.

What cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These let you browse the Site and use its features. The Site runs on WordPress and WooCommerce, which set cookies to keep your shopping cart together, remember what is in it as you move between pages, hold your session while you check out, and confirm that your browser accepts cookies. If you create an account or log in, cookies keep you signed in. Our cookie-consent tool also sets a cookie to remember the choice you made, so we do not ask again on every page.

Functional and customization cookies

These remember choices you make so the Site behaves the way you expect, such as recently viewed products, display preferences and information you have already given us in a form.

Email and sign-up cookies

Our email list is run through Kit (formerly ConvertKit). When you fill in one of our sign-up forms, or arrive at the Site by clicking a link in one of our emails, Kit may set a cookie that identifies you as a subscriber. This lets us avoid showing you a sign-up form you have already completed and lets us see which of our emails brought you here. You can read more in Kit’s own privacy policy.

Link tracking cookies

Some of the links we share in emails and on social media are short links that route through the Site. When you click one, a cookie may record that the click happened so we can count how many people used the link. These counts are aggregated and do not identify you personally.

Analytics cookies

These collect information about how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed, how long people stay and how they arrived, so we can see what is working and improve the Site.

We use Google Analytics for this. Google Analytics sets cookies that distinguish one visitor from another and record the pages you view, the time and length of your visit and how you reached the Site. Google uses this data to prepare aggregated reports for us on Site activity. We have enabled IP anonymization, so your full IP address is not stored, and we do not use Google Analytics to build advertising profiles of you. Google may still use the information it collects in line with its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing Google’s browser add-on, available from Google at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Payment cookies

When you check out, our payment providers may set their own cookies to process your payment securely and to detect fraud. These are governed by each provider’s own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card details.

Security cookies

These support our security features and help us, and the services that protect the Site, detect malicious activity or activity in breach of our terms of use.

Social media cookies and pixels

Where the Site includes a button, embedded post or widget from a platform such as Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook, that platform may set cookies on the pages where it appears, even if you do not actively use it. Your interaction and the information collected are subject to your privacy settings on that platform.

We use the Pinterest Tag on the Site. It sets cookies that let Pinterest recognize visitors who have a Pinterest account, measure whether people who saw our Pins went on to visit the Site or make a purchase, and show our Pins to people who have visited the Site before. Pinterest may combine this with information it already holds about you. You can control how Pinterest uses your activity on other sites through your Pinterest account’s privacy and data settings, and you can opt out of Pinterest’s interest-based advertising there.

We may add similar pixels from other platforms, such as Meta, in future. If we do, they will be listed here. Analytics and advertising cookies of this kind are set only with your consent where the law requires it.

How to control cookies

In line with our Privacy Policy and this Cookie Policy, you have the right to accept or reject cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be rejected, because the Site cannot function without them. If you reject other cookies you will still be able to use the Site, although some features may not work as intended.

You can also manage cookies directly in your browser, including deleting cookies set in the past and blocking third parties from setting new ones. Deleting cookies will also clear any record of the consent choice you made on the Site, so you may be asked again. Instructions for the most common browsers, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge, are available on each browser’s own website.

For cookies set by third parties, you can manage your preferences and withdraw consent using any opt-out link they provide, through the means described in that third party’s privacy policy, or by contacting them directly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the tools we use change. The date at the top reflects the most recent version.
